REKINDLE
Location:
City Centre (Multiple Sites)
Date:
2013
Rekindle was born In 2011 and has been running various projects since then, each inherently focused on resourcefulness; some even as epic as reusing a whole house! In 2014 Rekindle undertook access to a vacant shop in New Regent St to utilise the space for creative projects and services.
Rekindle has run works such as Resourceful Ōtautahi, creating opportunities for resourcefulness by teaching skills and providing workshops from wood-working to weaving. Resourceful Ōtautahi began as the Zero Waste Village launched at FESTA 2016.
Following their space on New Regent St, LiVS supported Rekindle to run their operations from a beautiful space in the Christchurch Arts Centre, located upstairs in the restored Old Boys High building where they then took up a permanent lease.
