Immer Farbe

Immer Farbe is a new start-up online art and gift shop which features and sells work from 40+ local artists and makers (and growing). Immer Farbe is created by and run by Debbie Porter (one of the artists). This new shop stemmed from Assembly Point Pop Up in Cathedral Junction 2021-2022 (with 80+ artists), which Debbie was one of the co-founders of, and the Assembly Point Pride Pop-up in 2022, which Debbie co-ordinated by herself with 50+ artists exhibiting over a couple of weeks.

Following the concepts of pop-ups and working with these talented local artists, alongside the high costs of rents, led to the online shop, Immer Farbe, with the intention to do further pop-ups, exhibitions and markets to showcase the amazing local talent and share their creativity with the public.

"We were so lucky and privileged to be able to use the beautiful Incubator Container that Life in Vacant Spaces provided over December 2022 - the container was JAM PACKED from floor to ceiling with beautiful artwork and gifts, and we had such an amazing reception and so much support from the local community who passed by and supported local! (Sincerely, thank you!)

This Incubator space is something that the creative community in Christchurch needs to have multiplied on a big scale (or even a small one for now). It is reminiscent of the Re-Start Container Mall, which we as locals all loved and miss. Our artists were stoked to have their work on the main drag of the city, for it to be out in public and to be seen and shared. And it is awesome in the follow-up, to see some of the Immer Farbe artists and makers taking over the space and filling it to the brim with their own work and working and making in the city centre - so great to see!" - Immer Farbe

The next exhibition in-store for Immer Farbe is the "Proud" Exhibition & Gift Shop at Art Hole (336 St Asaph Street) from the 14th to the 25th March 2023, where Immer Farbe will be joined by guest artists as well as the Immer Farbe artists to celebrate Pride, Love and Diversity! There will be works from 60+ artists and makers at this event.
